Serving the state of Oregon for more than 60 years!

Our company was founded in 1936, making us one of the oldest agencies in the State of Oregon. For over 60 years we have had one goal; that is to maintain a competitive edge through service and innovation in the field of collections. Our former CEO, Ralph Hammack, had been in collections since 1947 and with VCS since 1951. He was president of the Oregon Collectors Association Legislature committee for over twenty years and was involved in getting many bills passed through Legislation that are very important to our industry.

Our present CEO, Greg Hammack has been with VCS for over 25 years, and was a National Director for the American Collectors Association. He is currently Chairman of the Board for Consumer Credit Counseling Service of the Mid-Willamette Valley. In addition, he is actively involved in the Oregon Collectors Association and currently serving on their legislative committee.

Our collection management team has over 80 years of combined collection experience. We are currently 17 collectors strong, with a total of 35 employees.

In early 1959 we were the first collection agency in Oregon to become computerized. Since then, we have grown and changed our computer needs as our clients require. In June of 1988 VCS purchased its own in-house computer system. The system is named FACS, FLEXIBLE AUTOMATED COLLECTION SYSTEM. It offers many features to our clients as well as to VCS.
